A Look Back at May at Den 1880 — Plus What’s Ahead for Our Coworking Community
As we step into a new month at Den 1880, our vibrant coworking community is still buzzing from an exciting April. From engaging events to exciting new members and partnerships, our coworking space continues to grow as a hub for creativity, collaboration, and connection in Uptown Waterloo.
April Highlights at Den 1880 Coworking Space
April was packed with community-driven moments that reminded us why our coworking community is more than just an office space — it’s a place where people gather to connect, create, and celebrate.
We kicked off spring with the debut of Vines & Wines, a sold-out event that brought together floral design and fine wine. Led by Le Jardin and sommelier Robert Miller, this event combined creativity and connection in the heart of our workspace.
Our Member Trivia Night was another standout — congratulations to the champs, Trivia Newton John! Due to popular demand, we’re teaming up again with Host Wanted Productions for another round of trivia this summer.
April also included a lively Member Happy Hour, where we cheered on the Maple Leafs during the NHL playoffs, and wrapped up our month-long Wellness Challenge. Congratulations to our prize winner! Don’t forget: weekly Pilates (Mondays) and Yoga (Wednesdays) are free for all Den members — just one of the many perks of your Den membership.
One of the most exciting weeks in April was hosting the MappedIn team from around the world for their annual HackedIn Week. It was an inspiring example of how our flexible office space supports collaboration for both local and global teams.
And finally, a big welcome to Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure, who joined our Teams Floor last month, along with all the new members who have joined our coworking community.
